Pete Pinto Sr. Coach of the Year Award
Pete Pinto Sr. was instrumental in the growth and success of SYHA. As a co-founder, multi-term president, and our very first Pee Wee coach, his passion for youth hockey and commitment to our league set the foundation for everything we are today. His leadership and vision continue to inspire us, and his contributions were rightfully recognized when he became SYHA’s first Hall of Fame inductee.
In 2025, the SYHA Board announced the first annual Pete Pinto Senior Coach of the Year Award—created to recognize a coach who carries the same torch that Pete lit many years ago: a torch of selfless service, tireless effort, and unwavering care for each player.
