Stamford Sharks

The Stamford Youth Hockey Association is one of the oldest youth hockey programs in the Tri-State area, established nearly 50 years ago. The league was founded on and maintains the principles that the Sharks are a family, and hockey should be available to all those interested, regardless of experience, abilities and socioeconomic status. The organization is one of the few that provides need-based scholarships irrespective of playing ability.

Our programs offer a full spectrum of opportunities beginning at age 4 and lasting through 19, with the Tiger Sharks/Learn to Play program, progressing into local House Leagues, and competitive Travel programs. Many of our players have continued their playing careers at the next level, many of whom have returned to their Sharks’ family as coaches and Board members.

Ladysharks U10 Win CGHL Division 2 State Championship

We wish shark-sized congratulations to our u10 Lady Sharks who claimed the CGHL Division 2 State Championship this weekend, going undefeated in the tournament and capping it off with a 4-2 win over Stateline this evening! Way to go, girls!!!

Swedish Exchange at Stamford High

Team SDE players attended area schools today with our Sharks players. SDE visited Stamford High School, Westhill High School, AITE, Fairfield Prep and John Jay High School.

Sharks in DC!

The weekend of October 7-9 many of our SYHA Sharks teams competed at the Congressional Cup in Washington D.C.
A great time was had by all as the Sharks represented SYHA playing teams up and down the east coast and as far out as Nevada.

Beyond the hockey, many teams were able to visit historical sights at our nation's capital and fit in a Washington Capitals game, bonding teammates together and creating lifelong memories.

A special congratulations to Coach Scott Valenzano and his Bantam A's as they tore through the tournament, winning it all and posting a combing +25 Goal Differential!

Thanks to all SYHA families and players for helping to create a special weekend.

Stamford Sharks & Terry Conners Rink Celebrates 50 Years!

The Stamford (Sharks) Youth Hockey Association (SYHA) and it’s home rink, Terry Conners are celebrating 50 years of success and community. Since 1973, SYHA and TCR have operated to serve the Stamford community, building strong bonds and unforgettable memories, on and off the ice.

Join us on Friday, October 13th from 7:00-11:00 PM at the Italian Center of Stamford for an adults only event to celebrate this tremendous milestone. Connect with friends, teammates and coaches and help us honor the individuals and families that help built this hockey program and facility into what it is today.

This event will include food, unlimited wine & beer, raffles, silent auctions and live auctions to raise money for SYHA.

The event is Adults only and attire is business casual
